Who we are
This website is operated by DakotaBuilt (“DakotaBuilt,” “we”), a property services and compliance documentation business in South Dakota, United States.
Information you send us
When you request service, we receive the details you enter: whether the request is residential or commercial, your name, email, phone number, business or property name, property type, city and state, the services you're interested in, your timing, your description of the work, your preferred contact method and, if you choose to tell us, how you heard about us. We use this information to respond to your request, prepare an estimate, and deliver any services you engage us for.
Requests are stored in a private database and sent to our business inbox, both hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. The database is encrypted and is not publicly accessible; the website can add requests to it but cannot read them back. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with third parties except service providers that host our website, database and email, or where required by law.
We keep request information for as long as needed to respond, provide services and maintain reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Spam and abuse protection
To prevent automated abuse, our form service briefly processes your IP address to limit repeated submissions, and a one-way fingerprint of the request to detect accidental duplicates. These records expire automatically within a few hours.
Analytics and cookies
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and analytics will only run with your consent.
Property records and photos
When we work at a property, we create records such as checklists, notes, photos, issue logs and reports. These are private: they are shared only with you and the people you authorize, and are never published on this website or used in marketing without your written permission. We avoid photographing people, personal documents and belongings that aren't relevant to the work.
We do not request financial account details, passwords, access codes or health information. For senior home safety work, we record the home only — no medical or personal health information.
Your choices
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of further contact. Reply to any email you have received from us, or contact us through the service request form.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date above.
