Estate clear-outs & property transitions
Clearing a property, handled carefully and documented
Clearing a home after a death, a move to care or a sale is hard work at a hard time. DakotaBuilt handles the physical work — removal, donation drop-off, cleaning and a documented hand-off — while the family or executor keeps every decision about what stays and what goes.

Removal, donation drop-off, cleaning and a documented hand-off of the property — with every keep-or-go decision left to you.
Who it's for
Built for
- Families and executors settling an estate
- Older adults moving to a smaller home or care
- Landlords dealing with abandoned belongings
- Real estate agents preparing a property for sale
Problems it addresses
Too much to move, too little time
Closing dates, lease ends and family schedules leave a short window to empty a property.
Families are far away
Executors and relatives often live elsewhere and need someone local they can rely on.
No record of what happened
Without photos and notes, it can be hard to show the family or the estate what was removed, donated or kept.

How it works
How estate clear-outs works
- 01
Agree on the plan
We walk through with the family or executor — in person or by video — and mark what stays, what's donated and what goes.
- 02
Estimate
A written estimate covers labor, hauling, any disposal or donation fees, and what's excluded.
- 03
Clear
Work proceeds room by room. Anything that looks valuable or personal is set aside and confirmed with you.
- 04
Document
You receive completion notes and photos. Anything we noticed but didn't fix is listed separately for your decision.
Getting an estimate
What we'll need from you
- Property address and size
- Rough amount of contents (rooms, garage, basement, outbuildings)
- Deadline, such as a closing or lease-end date
- Who is authorized to make decisions for the property
- Photos or a video walkthrough, if possible
Safety & licensing limits
- We only take instructions from the person authorized to act for the property, such as the owner, executor or their designated contact.
- We don't appraise, buy or sell belongings. Items that may have value are set aside for your decision.
- Hazardous materials are excluded and must be handled by an appropriate disposal service.
